The Evangeline Hall building is the main Residential Life building in a group of campus residential life buildings located on the horseshoe drive off of Highland Road on the LSU campus in Baton Rouge. It is bordered on the east by East Campus Drive and on the south by South Campus Drive. The building was constructed around 1937, and consists of approximately 65,000 sq. ft. of area, distributed on a basement and five floors. The scope of the project consists of a complete renovation, gutting the building to the existing structural concrete shell, and rebuilding all interior floor areas to include new residence rooms, administration and service spaces, and amenity spaces, as well as all new finishes, and new mechanical and electrical systems. The building will be connected to new campus utilities which will be extended and relocated as required. A new service drive will be constructed from East Campus Drive to the east side of the building which will have a new receiving and storage area at the basement level.
