Baton Rouge Magnet High School, designed in joint venture with Remson Haley Herpin Architects, involved the historic restoration/renovation of the original 100,000 sf school and a 200,000 sf addition. The addition to this National Historic Register building was designed to preserve the integrity of the original architecture, to be contextual to its neighborhood. As gifted and talented high school, the project includes extensive lecture spaces, laboratories, black box studios, grand auditorium, TV and radio station, and other facilities. This is a significant project for East Baton Rouge Parish School System, and seeks to provide Baton Rouge with a model building to showcase its premier High School.
